Prous Institute Presents the Prous Institute - Overton & Meyer Award for New Technologies in Drug Discovery to Dr György Keserű and Dr György Ferenczy

Sept 7, 2014. Lisbon, Portugal. Prous Institute for Biomedical Research is to present the 2014 Prous Institute – Overton & Meyer Award to Dr György Keserű and Dr György Ferenczy from the Research Center for Natural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, at the 23rd International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry organized by the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC).

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of new technologies in the field of medicinal chemistry and acknowledges the awardees’ contribution to the discovery and development of innovative technologies that advance the field.

Dr György M. Keserű is the General Director of the Research Center for Natural Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His research expertise includes medicinal chemistry, drug design, and in silico ADME.

Dr György G. Ferenczy is a Senior Research Fellow at the Research Center for Natural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His research interests include the development and application of computational tools for extended biochemical systems, in particular studying molecular interactions relevant to drug discovery.

The award will be presented during the opening ceremony of the 23rd International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ISMC) on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The Award plenary Lecture is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2014.
